Tel Aviv Art Museum

Tel Aviv Art Museum

Tel Aviv Art Museum was founded in 1932 by Meir Dizengoff, the first Mayor of Tel Aviv and it has since become one of Israel’s foremost cultural institutions. The museum comprises various departments located in three main buildings. Permanently on display are a comprehensive art collection from the start of the 20th century to the present day, and an international selection of art from the mid-19th Century to the present. There are also notable collections of prints and drawings, photographs and a department dedicated to architecture and design. Another ‘must see’ highlight is the museum’s collection of Old Masters’ paintings featuring art dating back from the 16th to the 19th century.
